Finance and giving
Running St George's; - keeping the Church open during the day, keeping the building heated in winter, and maintaining its distinctive worship and and music costs a great deal of money.
St George's has launched a sponsorship scheme, under which you can target a gift to help meet some of these costs.
So, please contact us and complete a form if you would like to make:
The gift of welcome:
heating, lighting, cleaning, pew repairs, sound system maintenance . . . .
The gift of ceremony:
altar candles, Easter and Christmas candles, baptismal candles, palm crosses . . . . . .
The gift of music:
choir music, the Junior Choir, music licence, tuning the organ, tuning the piano . . . . . .
The gift of security
insurance, alarm system, lightning conductor maintenance . . . . .
Your gifts will be held in the general fund of the parish and be designated for sponsorship, and if any one category of gift is over or under subscribed, your gift may be used towards the cost of another activity.

Gift Aid
Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving.
Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, St George's will currently receive an extra 25 pence from the Inland Revenue.
