Music at St George's

Music is a central part of worship and the community life of St. George's.

You can read our regular music list of upcoming pieces during services and in stand-alone performances.

Our musical director and organist Nigel Groome works with the choirs to sustain the most rich and diverse programme of music throughout the year.

Numerous recitals and performances in the church by instrumental groups and soloists, and regular programmes of organ music feature both during our services and at lunchtimes and evenings.

The church is home to the St.George's Chamber orchestra and we have gifted musicians in the congregation and associated with the church and within the parish.
